MountainSky Aerial Receives FAA NAS authorization for Rifle Garfield Airport (RIL)
We our proud to announce the MountainSky Aerial has received NAS Airspace authorization from the FAA for Rifle Garfield County Airport (RIL).
These official documents are available at our office in Grand Junction, and also will accompany our licensed pilots in the field. It is our hope that the FAA's LAANC system will be fully operational by October 2018. LAANC stands for "Low Altitude Authorization & Notification Capability". It's an online system designed to authorize commercial UAV pilots almost instant flight authorizations. This will eliminate the 90 plus days waiting for authorizations which is killing the commercial Drone industry at the moment.
