Manage, Measure and Communicate Site Progress with Drone Data

More and more, project managers are finding drone mapping to be an indispensable tool during all phases of construction. Our easy-to-use solution allows us to create high-resolution orthomosaic, elevation and 3D maps in a matter of hours. Combined with built-in measurement tools and annotations, PM's can keep real-time tabs on projects and identify potential issues before they become costly.

Cloud-based maps make sharing and collaborating with everyone from site engineers to project owners simple. Executives and offsite stakeholders stay informed and, because drone mapping is cost-effective, they see a return-on-investment almost immediately.

Overlay Plans with High-Resolution Maps to Catch Conflicts Sooner

Contract Project Manager Nick Johnson of Tilt Rock of Texas uses drone mapping to manage large, custom home projects. He has been in construction for forty years and a contractor-owner for twenty five years. When he began incorporating drones into his work, he saw immediate savings of both time and money.

We would be happy to show you first hand what our services can do. Please fill out our contact page requesting a demo. We will then send you a link that allows for a live mapping session we have done locally. You'll experience 2D, 3D, Volume measurement, contour, area, and a host of other features you can use yourself and see how our services may be a benefit to you. Please fill out our contact page here. Thanks again.

As the PM on a custom community with sixty seven homes, Johnson had a drone fly over the site weekly and produced high-resolution maps that he overlaid with utility, wastewater and communications plans. Homeowners on this project made frequent changes to house footprints, models and orientation. But these overlays allowed him to stay informed with real-time data, catch conflicts with services before they actually happened and redirect them at minimum cost.

A Cost-Effective Alternative to Surveying

Tumal Karunaratne uses drone mapping as a cost-effective alternative to traditional surveying. Karunaratne is a project engineer with Civil Solutions Associates, a geotechnical engineering company. In a matter of hours, Drone Deploy created an elevation map to assess the topography of a property in which the house was showing signs of damage from a landslide.

“Site evaluations [with a survey crew] could cost us five or ten thousand dollars…We’d much rather spend two thousand on a Drone Service Provider, have them fly it and collect all the data we‘ll need.” -Tumal Karunaratne

Benefits of Stockpile Measurement

3D INTERACTIVE MAP

Accurate

Equal to or better than LiDAR survey methods

Affordable

Considerably lower cost than traditional survey methods

Fast

Reports provided within 24 – 48 hours of inspection

Safe

Eliminates the need to climb on stockpiles – significantly improves employee safety, MSHA compliance and reduces site insurance costs

Improve Decision Making and Planning

Having confidence in the accuracy of your volumetric data allows you to plan smarter and make better decisions with fewer end of year accounting adjustments.

Quick Data Collection

Save significant time and labor – collect an entire site’s data in hours not days

Frequency

Measure Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and/or Annually

Improve Operating Efficiency and Profitability

Lower internal labor costs and increase inventory knowledge in order to reduce costly stock outs. Utilize your company personnel for their highest and best use which often is not volumetric measurements.

Eliminate Inventory Adjustments and Write-offs

Frequent and Accurate Stockpile Measurements eliminates surprise adjustments

Reduce Capital Expenditures

Eliminate the need to purchase expensive survey measuring equipment

Improve Reporting to Banks and others

Accurate, documented material inventory readily available to support financing

Streamline Inventory Material Audits

Readily available, documented, independent third party inspection with audit history of all material inventories
